Billing & Invoicing
What counts as an “active” ambassador in BAMP?

An ambassador is considered active if they are currently assigned to any Team or Sub-Team within BAMP (Including Roster)
Once removed from all teams, they are marked as inactive and no longer count toward your active ambassador limit.

When is the active ambassador snapshot taken for billing?

BAMP records your active ambassador count at 11:59 PM UTC on the last day of each month.
That number determines any applicable overage charges on your next invoice.

How am I charged if I exceed my plan’s active ambassador limit?

If your active ambassador count goes over your plan’s limit, you’ll be billed for the overage on your next invoice.
Example: On the Growth Plan (50 included), if you end the month with 63 active ambassadors, you’ll be charged for 13 × $0.90 = $11.70.

Do inactive ambassadors cost anything?

No. Inactive ambassadors within your plan’s storage limit are free. An ambassador becomes active automatically if they are part of any Team or Sub-Team. You can filter Active vs. Inactive ambassadors on the Ambassador page using the status filter.

Inactive ambassadors keep all their files, stats, and history for future use without billing impact.

What happens if I exceed the inactive ambassador storage limit?

You’ll get an email alert when you reach 90% of your inactive ambassador limit. At that point, you can either:

Archive old profiles (export & delete), or Purchase additional inactive storage:

Extra Inactive Ambassadors: $5 for 1000 Inactive Ambassador/month

This keeps your database lean while still allowing historical access when needed.

How do annual plans handle ambassador overages?

With annual plans, you’re billed upfront for the base subscription.
Any monthly overages (active ambassadors exceeding your plan limit) are tracked and then billed quarterly to keep invoicing simple and predictable.

If we purchase the Elite plan with 1,000 ambassadors included, but only use 400 in a month, do we still pay the full price?

Yes. All BAMP plans are fixed-price subscriptions based on the maximum limits included.
Whether you use 100 or 1,000 ambassadors, your monthly or annual fee remains the same unless you exceed the included volume (which triggers overage charges).

If I switch from monthly to annual billing, what happens to my current usage and overages?

When you switch to annual billing, your base subscription is billed upfront for the year.
However, any overages (e.g., extra ambassadors) will continue to be calculated monthly and invoiced on a quarterly basis.

What if I already paid for ambassador overages, but then upgrade my plan shortly after?

If you upgrade your plan after being billed for overages, here’s how BAMP handles it:

The ambassador overage amount already paid is not refunded, since it covered usage beyond your previous plan’s limit.

However, once you upgrade, your new ambassador allowance begins immediately, and future overages will reset based on the new plan.

This ensures smooth transition without disruption, while maintaining billing consistency across plan changes.

Plan Management
Can I switch plans in the middle of a billing cycle?

Yes! You can upgrade at any time, and the new plan will be prorated based on your remaining billing cycle.

If you choose to downgrade, the change will take effect at your next renewal to avoid partial-month confusion or disruptions.

Can I remove users to downgrade to a lower plan?

Yes. You can downgrade your plan if your total users drop within the lower plan’s limit.

For monthly plans, the downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle.

For annual plans, the excess amount already paid for the remaining months will be calculated and adjusted in your next year’s billing.

Can I temporarily upgrade to handle a seasonal campaign and then downgrade later?

Yes. You can upgrade to a higher plan for a busy season and then downgrade when your usage drops. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle, and any annual plan adjustments will be credited toward your next renewal.
This flexibility helps manage ambassador surges without long-term commitment.

Can I pause my subscription if I’m not using BAMP for a few months?

Add-Ons & Limits
Can I add more users without upgrading my plan?

No. To increase your user count, you must upgrade to the next plan that includes more user licenses. BAMP does not allow standalone user add-ons to ensure account security and role integrity.

What happens if I reach my inactive ambassador limit?

You’ll receive a warning at 90% capacity. At that point, you can either:

  • Delete/archive older ambassador data, or

Purchase additional storage blocks (e.g., 250 inactive ambassadors for $10/month).

What if I make someone inactive mid-month?

If they were active at any point during the billing cycle, they still count as active for that month’s invoice—even if made inactive later.

Roles & Permissions
Can I create custom Roles or edit existing ones?

No. BAMP uses a fixed set of 8 predefined Roles, designed for real-world marketing and ambassador programs. Roles cannot be customized to maintain consistent permissions across accounts.

Which plans include all 8 Roles?

All 8 Roles are available in Pro, Advanced, and Elite plans.
Lower-tier plans (Essentials and Growth) have access to only limited Role combinations based on team size.

Do you offer nonprofit or volume-based discounts?

Yes. BAMP offers special pricing for:

  • Verified nonprofit organizations, and

Companies managing 2,500+ active ambassadors across one or more accounts.

Support & Service Tiers
Can I upgrade my support level without upgrading my plan?

No. Support level is tied directly to your pricing plan. For example, chat support and onboarding are only available starting from the Pro plan and above.

Will I lose premium support if I downgrade?

Yes. If you downgrade to a lower plan, your support level will automatically adjust to the standard associated with that tier.
